I hope you are doing well. For some of you this may be a bit of a shock

to receive this correspondence. As you may or may not know, the

Antarctic Press is celebrating its 40th year of existence. At some point in

time in your life, you crossed paths with us. Now some have had good

experiences and some maybe not so good.

In any case, we decided to have an Antarctic Press 40th Anniversary

celebration on March 15, 2025, and we decided to try to invite as many

people as possible that we know that were associated with Antarctic

Press to this shindig.

Some of the details:

1) The Celebration will be in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, March

15th, 2025 (one day only)

2) It will be in the Norris Conference Center, Park North Shopping

Center just below Alamo Drafthouse, 618 Northwest Loop 410 Ste 207,

San Antonio, TX 78216

3) The hours will be around 9 am to 5 or 6pm, we have not worked out

the entirety of the details.

4) We will be inviting the public to also attend…for absolutely free.

5) We are going to try to crowd fund the Celebration via Kickstarter,

Indiegogo and maybe Go Fund Me (we will have a variety of incentives

and rewards to help us in this endeavor)…so it is possible if we fail

miserably in getting enough funding this may be a short lived idea for a

celebration.

We wanted to invite you to attend. Unfortunately, due to the nature of

our program we will unlikely be able to provide any travel

accommodations except for some free food (we probably will have a

party at the end of the day). We will also try to get discounted rates at a

close-by hotel.

What we want to do is offer you a “table” for free, where you can sell

your AP and non-AP items. It can be anything you want (as long as it

fits properly and will not break the table). If you do not have anything to

sell, we can provide a spot so you can sit and talk to whatever fans we

can muster to this Celebration. Relegate stories of your creation or bad

mouth us (don’t worry we have thick skin). We will be encouraging

people to come with their books and stories for review.

We have no idea what the attendance will be…we hope enough to

make it interesting and fun for everyone. We once had a convention

many moons ago (1997) and it was great. Lots of people with lots of

talking.

In addition…as a guest you will have access to what we call the

warehouse find room…over the last 40 years we have accumulated a

storage room of books. We intend to offer a GET AS MUCH AS YOU

CAN CARRY access to this room (it will also be one of the rewards

available on our crowdfunding). You will have free access to this room.

I hope that explains what we are trying to do with this Celebration. We

hope you will consider coming down for the celebration. If you want to

reserve one of the tables, we have for guests please let us know by

December 1, 2024 (there are a limited number of tables).

While we have not worked out all the logistics on things, please be

aware we will not allow certain items or subject matters to be presented

or sold at our birthday bash so we reserve the right to restrict those

items and things at our discretion.
