Things that make you go “hmmmmm”.

Was Alberto from Pixar’s LUCA inspired by Miyazaki’s FUTURE BOY CONAN? Probably not but one cannot help to notice some similarities between the 2 characters. Both are boys roughly the same age, both are vivacious and outgoing and both have similar clothing. I know I am probably way off base here but being a fan of both the movie and series I cannot shake an eerie feeling that someone was inspired by Miyazaki’s under-rated classic. What do you think? Am I crazy or does it make you go “hmmmmm”.
